I apply to every single job posted online (in my area), as moving out of this area requires money that a single mom of 2 like myself doesn't have lying around. I work with 5 different recruiters who staff around the US to help navigate the scene easier. So far, every response from employers is "thanks, but no thanks, you don't have the experience we're looking for." When entering facilities with resume in hand I have been told, "If the job is not posted online, we are not hiring." Please understand that I did not go through the schooling and licensure process to sit on my hands all day and "not try hard enough." If you can believe this, I am one of many in my area who are unemployed/underemployed in therapy. I apply out of state (mainly TX). Again, I am willing and eager to move from this area but that requires money to get out, and a job to be had for stability once I arrive.
